Maine in America: American Art at the Farnsworth Art Museum (2000) is the museum's first comprehensive catalog of its paintings, watercolors and sculpture collections, resulting from a seven-year research project funded by NEA, Getty, Luce and Davis Family Foundations. For ease of viewing, the catalogue has been divided into nine PDF sections accessible by the buttons at the left: Maine in America 1 (4.2 MB) contains the foreword, acknowledgements, reader's notes, history of the collection and an essay on American art at the Farnsworth by William H. Gerdts. Maine in America 2 through 7 contain artists' biographies and commentary as well as images represented in the collection. Maine in America 8 (4.7 MB) is composed of a checklist of additional works in the collection, notes and index. |
