Education

The Farnsworth Art Museum’s Education Department celebrates Maine’s role in American art by offering a variety of programs for individuals of all ages.
Programming includes art classes and workshops for all ages and levels of experience. Guest speakers, lecture series, and films are scheduled throughout the year, as well as educator workshops. You will find a listing of available programming in the links below:

For teachers and schools planning a visit to the museum, we have a wonderful school program that provides students with a positive museum experience. Arrange for a docent-led tour or plan a self-guided tour. In addition, teacher resources are available to assist with preparing for and following up with your visit. School visits are free of charge.

For more information about any of the museum’s programs please call the Education Department at 207-596-0949.
