Artscapes for Young Artists: Creating the Magic of Summer

June 26, 2012
Tuesday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Gamble Education Center
Young artists are invited to transform a variety of media into celebration of summer. Venturing into the museum for discovery trips, participants will find inspiration from Farnsworth exhibiting artists Frank Benson, Jamie Wyeth and Rockwell Kent. Through guided inquiry of color, form, and space, kids ages 7 to 11 years old will explore how these artists create their places of imagination and carry the magic of these discoveries into the studio to transform materials into their own worlds of imagination. A healthy snack will be provided, and kids should also plan on bringing a lunch along with their creativity.
