The Lincoln Center International Educator Workshop is for educators and arts administrators who are interested in learning about imaginative teaching and learning through aesthetic education. Participants will experience performances and visual artworks, guided by art-making explorations that have been designed by Institute Teaching Artists. The Farnsworth Art Museum is pleased to provide tuition scholarships to any Maine school teacher or administrator currently employed full time in a public or private school wishing to attend Lincoln Center Institute’s 2012 International Educator Workshop in Rockland, Maine.
The works of art that will be studied during the International Educator Workshop at the Farnsworth from July 23 - 27, 2012: Dance
Leap of Faith is an original work combining dance, projected images, live music and spoken word. Selected poems featuring Rilke, Rumi, Oriah Mountain Dreamer and Marianne Williamson take the viewer on a multi-sensory journey through creativity, love, power, separation, and renewal. Its intention is to inspire and empower the audience by awakening truth through movement, sound and beauty.
