Studio Night: Sculptural Paper Vessels with Trelawney O’Brien

This class will offer simple and easy artistic techniques to create one-of-a-kind pieces and provide various paper products to use, including handmade paper and various recycled materials. Learn the steps on how to make a sculptural vessel that you can use in the home or give as a gift.
The Farnsworth’s Studio Assistant, Trelawney O’Brien, is a fine artist and art educator who currently teaches at Rockland Middle School through the RASA After-School Art Program. She has taught multiple art camps and has been a teaching assistant for kids art classes at the Farnsworth and was an instructor and head of art camps through Splatter Kids at the Lincoln Street Center. She is excited to teach this class for adults. Trelawney will also be co-teaching an Introduction to Animation class at the Farnsworth this fall.
Studio Night at the Gamble Education Center is a new program sponsored by the Farnsworth Collective. On five different Monday nights in the fall, be prepared to get creative. A different set of materials will be presented each night and participants can experiment at their own pace. Stay tuned for more details about each night’s project.
