Kids ages 5 to 8 are invited to join teaching artist Trelawney O'Brien this summer where we will be creating colorful tie-dye t-shirts and traditional "Shibori" dyed tapestries for the beach, flower pinwheels, fun chalk drawings of your favorite ocean scenes, build a fairy house, have fun with flower and leaf prints, make "sun prints" with the cyanotype photographic process, and paint bright colored stones from the beach.
Instructor Trelawney O’Brien is a fine artist and art educator who has been working as the Farnsworth’s studio assistant for children and family programs for the past two years and has taught multiple art camps. She also currently teaches and inspires students at Rockland Middle School through the RASA After-School Art Program, and was previously the head of art camps through Splatter Kids at the Lincoln Street Center.
