Music at Noon: Wizard of OZ

The Farnsworth Art Museum, in partnership with Bay Chamber Concerts, is pleased to present our second winter season of intimate Music at Noon lunchtime concerts. Each concert takes place on the second Wednesday of the month during January, February, March, and April.
 
Join us for a special Wizard of OZ themed MUSIC AT NOON concert with University of Southern Maine’s Ed Reichert and his students Carolyn Glaude, Eileen Hanley, Danielle Lane, Matthew West. Repertoire will be announced from the stage.
 
Carolyn Glaude is a senior Musical Theater major originally from Topsham, ME. Carolyn spent this past summer as a performance intern at Theatre West Virginia. She enjoys writing and directing her own musicals. Carolyn recently played Miss Gardner in the School of Music’s production of Carrie. She’s Rosa Bud in Drood this winter!
 
Eileen Hanley is a senior Musical Theater major and French minor at USM from Peaks Island. Some of her favorite roles include: Natalie in All Shook Up; Squeaky Fromme, Assassins; originating the role of Anna in The Freaks Club; and the title role in Carrie.  Upcoming: Edwin Drood in The Mystery of Edwin Drood at USM in March.
 
Danielle Lane is a senior Musical Theater major from Caribou, ME. Her past roles at USM include Margaret White in Carrie, Sarah Jane Moore in Assassins and the title role in The Drowsy Chaperone. MSMT: Les Miserables, Hair, and the Fairy God Mother in Cinderella. Lookout for her as Princess Puffer in Drood this March!
 
Matthew West is a junior at USM from Farmington Maine. This past summer Matthew was in the ensemble of MSMT’s production of Les Miserables and Hair. Roles at USM include: Tommy in Carrie, John Hinckley Jr. in Assassins, and Mr. Feldzig in The Drowsy Chaperone. Matt will be playing John Jasper in Drood this winter.
 
Edward Reichert (Director/Accompanist) has been on the faculty in the School of Music at USM since 2001.  He studied music and theater at the Aaron Copland School of Music, Queens College/CUNY where he worked under the tutelage of composer/conductor Hugo Weisgall. Regional credits as musical director include productions at Walnut Street Theatre, North Shore Music Theatre, Ogunquit Playhouse, Fulton Opera House, Flat Rock Playhouse, Seacoast Rep, Portland Stage Company, Arundel Barn Playhouse, and Florida Repertory Theatre. He lives in Portland, Maine.
