Paint the Town

Join us for Paint the Town 2009!
 
It works this way—
On Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m., the artists (must be age 14 or over) come to the Farnsworth and receive their informational packets, t-shirts and box lunches.
 
Then—
  • The artists go out to paint their views of Rockland
  • They bring their “wet” paintings of the town back to the museum between 1 and 3 p.m.
  • The paintings are on display at the silent auction from 4 to 6 p.m. at a reception on the lawn of the Farnsworth Art Museum, 16 Museum Street—Everyone is welcome. Cash Bar.
  • At 6 p.m. the reception continues with a live auction of paintings chosen from the silent auction by museum curators
This year's deadline for registration is Friday, July 31, 2009.
 
Artists, age 14 and above pre-register, using forms that have been distributed to businesses throughout Knox County, or you may register online here
 

Registration is free and artists may register until 11 a.m. on the day of the event. However, those who do not pre-register by the deadline date of Friday, July 31, 2009 will not being furnished a free event T-shirt or a lunch.
