The Strand Theatre and Farnsworth Campus

This public event is the opening celebration of the Farnsworth Art Museum’s Stories of the Land and Its People exhibition, a year-long arts-integration program that features the work of 250 local students.  Throughout the academic year, Farnsworth Art Museum educators, teaching artists and classroom teachers in partnership, led the students’ arts-learning experiences in six public schools in Appleton, Camden-Rockport, Hope, Lincolnville, Rockland and Waldoboro. At this event, the community is invited to join educators, teaching artists, and student artists in celebrating the students’ final presentation of arts-integrated work.  The opening ceremony begins at the Strand Theatre at 1:00 p.m. with a red carpet entrance at 12:40 p.m., followed by the exhibition opening at the Farnsworth Art Museum 2:00 – 5:00 p.m..

This program is free and open to the public.
