The main level of the museum building houses the Hadlock, Rothschild, Crosman, and Wyeth Studies galleries and the Morehouse Wing. The Library is also located on the main level.

The Craig Gallery is on the lower level of the museum as well as the Farnsworth Auditorium and a studio for the Education Department.

The Nevelson-Berliawsky Gallery is located on the upper level of the main museum building.
