The Farnsworth is reinvigorating and transforming itself into an even more dynamic ‘gathering place’ for today’s diverse local and regional audience. Two giving circles help the museum with critical needs:
 
Presidents Council
An unrestricted donation to the museum’s annual fund of $10,000 or more qualifies the donor to be a member of the Presidents Council, renewable annually. Presidents Council members serve as ambassadors-at-large for the museum and participate in the selection of the annual Maine in America Award recipient.

Friends of the Farnsworth Collection
The Friends of the Farnsworth Collection is a dedicated group of people committed to enhancing the Farnsworth’s collection with generous donations of $5,000 each, renewable annually, thus enabling the purchase of art that might not otherwise be possible. The members meet once a year to view a selection of artworks presented by the museum. They then vote for the one(s) they would like to purchase in the Friends’ name.
