The Farnsworth is Live at Night
With Parties for the Public
(February 16, 2009, Rockland, ME) The Farnsworth Art Museum is thrilled to announce the 2009 schedule of Live at Night at the Farnsworth Friday night parties for the public sponsored by Bangor Savings Bank and VillageSoup. Beginning in March and continuing through August, the Farnsworth is inviting everyone to enjoy five fun-filled evenings of tasty appetizers, a cash bar, great music and the opportunity to peruse the museum galleries free of charge. Three of these parties will also be opening night receptions for exhibitions, and will be preceded by a members’ only reception.
The first scheduled Live at Night free party for the public will take place on Friday, March 6, from 7 to 9 p.m. in celebration of the opening of the Four in Maine exhibition, which will be on display in the Morehouse Wing of the museum through Sunday, May 24. The Brown Bag located in Rockland will be catering, musical selections will be provided by Christina DeHoff, also of Rockland, and floral designs will be provided Seasons Downeast of Rockport. The preceding reception and gallery talks, for Farnsworth members and invited guests of the artists only, will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

- Friday, May 15 – Opening party for Jamie Wyeth - Seven Deadly Sins
- Friday, June 19 – Opening party for Robert Indiana and the Star of Hope
- Friday, July 17 – Summer Swing!
- Friday, August 21 – A Rockland Celebration!
