The Studio Sampler Class Five: Mixed Media Painting Techniques with Ingrid Ellison

Saturday, April 6, 9 a.m.– noon

You can create a mixed media piece of art in just one class setting. Spring will be our inspiration as we work with inks, paints, stencils, prints, collage and simple transfers. Participants will be guided in composition, color, texture and line.
Instructor Ingrid Ellison has a BS from Skidmore College and an MFA from American University. She spent a year learning printmaking at Il Bisonte in Florence, Italy, and a month in residence at the Vermont Studio Center. Built in layers, her work is informed by elements of nature, both from the surrounding environment and from the microscopic world. Since moving to Maine in 2007, Ingrid’s exhibits include the CMCA 2008 Biennial and First Traces Exhibit, the 2010 I-95 Triennial at University of Maine, Bangor, and various group shows in mid-coast galleries. Please note this class is part of the nine-week Studio Sampler class. You may sign up for the Sampler class as a whole by returning to this page, but not for this individual class. Thank you!
