The Studio Sampler Class One: Soft Sculpture with Annie Bailey

Saturday, March 2, 9 a.m.– noon
Have you ever wanted to make a little stuffed animal creature to give to a loved one or to adorn your living room sofa? Join us for a workshop in soft sculpture! We will address design, simple pattern making, sewing and stuffing techniques, and basic embellishment. Bring old fabric, buttons, wool felt or notions to add to the communal class supply. Students should bring their own sewing machines to the workshop, if they have one.

Annie Bailey is a mixed media artist from Tenants Harbor. She graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Illustration where she studied both two dimensional and three dimensional design. She enjoys storytelling in various media: stop motion animation, oil painting, and sculpture. She has continued her studies at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts and through a residency at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, VA.

Please note this class is part of the nine-week Studio Sampler class. You may sign up for the Sampler class as a whole by returning to this page, but not for this individual class. Thank you!
