On the first Friday of each month, from June through October, the Farnsworth Art Museum will be open from 5 to 8 p.m. as part of First Fridays at the Farnsworth proudly sponsored by The First. First Fridays at the Farnsworth is part of the Arts in Rockland First Fridays, during which all 21 member-galleries of Arts in Rockland stage an Arts Walk from 5 to 8 p.m. During First Fridays at the Farnsworth museum admission is free.

In conjunction with Rockland's annual Festval of Lights, the Farnsworth will be hosting the fifth annual Share the Wonder Holiday Festival on Saturday, November 27. During this seasonal favorite, our traditional presentation includes a wonderland display of holiday artifacts built around a magnificent model train set.

This year's campus-wide activities for children include holiday cookie decorating; puppet show every half hour; horse drawn carriage rides; creating paper chains; live holiday music; free gift for every child.The activities as well as museum admission will be free or charge for the entire day.
