Join us for the first Mid Coast Maine Volunteer Fair – ‘A Celebration of Community Service co-hosted by the General Henry Knox Museum and the Farnsworth Art Museum.
 
The Maine in America Celebration is a ten-day festival in the midcoast that celebrates Maine's role in American art. All the arts!
On Sunday May 24th in conjunction with the museum's Andrew Wyeth Tribute Weekend, David Rockwell will speak at the Olson House at 2PM. David is Andrew Wyeth’s nephew and the son of Dudley Rockwell. He has spent his summers in Cushing as a neighbor to the Olsons and has foud memories of summers spent in Maine with his uncle Andy and other members of the Wyeth family.
 

Join us at the Strand Theatre in Rockland for a panel discussion on America's great artist Andrew Wyeth.

This event is free of charge and open to the public.
Join Farnsworth Interim Director and Chief Curator Michael K. Komanecky as he moderates a panel discussion to include:

Warren Adelson - Owner of Adelson Galleries, NYC
Bo Bartlett - Artist, Director of Snow Hill

Following the preview and reception, a Live at Night at the Farnsworth party will be held for EVERYONE! from 8 to 9:30 p.m.

Pecha Kucha Night is an energizing evening of creativity celebrated in more than 180 cities worldwide. Based on a unique presentation style in which artists share twenty images with twenty seconds for each image, Pecha Kucha answers the global need for open dialogue about contemporary art. Pecha Kucha Night Rockland is a dynamic collaboration among Midcoast Magnet and multiple arts organizations, educational institutions and partners from Thomaston to Belfast, including the Farnsworth Art Museum.
