2012 Camden International Film Festival — Herman's House

Located on the rugged coast of Maine, the Camden International Film Festival returns for its eighth season from September 27 through 30, 2012. Recognized as one of the top 25 film festivals in the world for documentary films and filmmakers, the festival highlights work that shows dedication to craft and a unique and artistic approach to telling a darn good story. We like films that blur the line between fact and fiction, films that inspire and inform and most importantly, entertain.

The festival's main venues are Camden’s Opera House and Bayview Street Cinema and Rockland’s Strand Theatre and Farnsworth Art Museum.

The Collective Presents: The End of the World After Party

It has been one year since the infamous debut of The Collective at the Bicknell Building and the group is ready to follow up its Launch Party with another great event. Come check out an abandoned, curiosity of a space and help The Collective celebrate its first year with cocktails, delightful nibbles and an artful atmosphere that will keep you intrigued while you dance the night away.

The Farnsworth Art Museum in alliance with the Lincoln Center Institute presents a free public performance of Leap of Faith, as part of the 2012 Lincoln Center Institute International Educator Workshops at the Farnsworth.

Public Book Signing with Jamie Wyeth

On Thursday, July 12 - Wyeth Day - Jamie Wyeth will be on hand to sign copies of the exhibition catalogue for Jamie Wyeth, Rockwell Kent and Monhegan. This is a special opportunity to meet Jamie Wyeth and leave with a personalized copy of this beautiful book which is available for sale at the Museum Store, both in the main museum and in The Wyeth Center.

Beginning at 2 p.m. the general public will be invited to join the event.
