Andrew Wyeth: Childhood

September 24, 2019 @ 2:00 pm 3:00 pm

Talk by Leith MacDonald

How can a creative upbringing affect an artist’s output? The Andrew Wyeth’s WWI exhibition explains how a childhood fascination with World War I, complete with music and costume play, developed into masterpieces in paint, paper, and panel. Using the exhibition as a point of departure, Leith MacDonald will explore other connections between Andrew Wyeth’s childhood and his mature work.

Leith MacDonald is an artist, curator, and educator based in midcoast Maine.
