Andrew Wyeth in Rockland: Our World
January 10, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Join members of the Rockland Historical Society and Wyeth Study Center staff for a panel discussion about Rockland history viewed through the lens of Andrew Wyeth’s watercolors in the exhibition Andrew Wyeth in Rockland (on view through February 17, 2019). For this exhibition, the Wyeth Study Center collaborated with the Rockland Historical Society, whose knowledgeable and passionate members helped make numerous connections between Wyeth’s paintings and Rockland history. In addition to assisting with exhibition research and fact checking, their telling of stories led to actual Rockland voices incorporated into the exhibition. As a result, the gallery includes oral histories that offer unique, local insights. Q&A to follow.
Cost: Free, but requires museum admission.
(Snow date: Friday, January 11)
