A week-long workshop. Painting is the act of call and response. We see a work of art that moves us and are struck by its composition or color. We take a walk in the woods and the patterns in nature implore us to look more closely. No matter what brings YOU to this workshop to paint, we will continue these experiences where you will be guided by a series of exercises to hone your use of value, composition, color and more.
Ingrid Ellison is a painter and arts educator working in oil, mixed media and printmaking. She is a graduate of Skidmore College and earned her MFA from American University. She has exhibited at the CMCA, Åarhus Gallery, the University of Maine Bangor, the Cynthia Winings Gallery and AVA Gallery and Center for the Arts. See examples of her work at ingridellison.com.
