A self-taught printmaker and compulsive wanderer of landscapes, instructor Sherrie York finds her way to place through drawing and linocut. Observation is the core of Sherrie’s work, whether she is making a sketch of tidbits collected on a hike or carving a complex linoleum block of pine cones and leaf litter. She enjoys helping others explore their world by developing their own observation skills, and tries to be a kinder, gentler drill sergeant.
