June 8 @ 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Acclaimed dancer Molly Gawler presents Droplet Dance, a collection of solo dance works with mesmerizing acrobatic movements and story elements told to the tune of live music from the folk traditions of Maine. All ages will be tapping their toes at this show that is full of joy and from the heart.
Molly Gawler finds great joy in dancing. She studied ballet with Andrei Bossov in Pittsfield, Maine and furthered her dance training with contemporary and modern at SUNY Purchase in New York. She toured the world with Pilobolus Dance Theater and starred in the lead role of the ‘dog-girl’ in the show Shadowland. Her curiosity of other movement led her to study circus at New England Center for Circus Arts, where she learned cyr wheel, aerial arts, and acrobatics. Gawler came full circle, back home to Maine where she started Droplet Dance with her solo dance choreography inspired by stories of water and often collaborating with the Gawler Family Band.
