Family Printmaking with Jen Peppe
February 21 @ 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Inspired by the exhibit, Prints for the People, this class will begin with a visit to the gallery to view the prints on display. We will then bring our shared thoughts and ideas back to the studio. Working in pairs, participants will work together to explore the themes of community and family to co-design an image of choice to be carved into the surface of a lino block. Next, we’ll follow the fun steps of inking and printing our own original artwork. The art of printmaking provides the opportunity to create many images from the original matrix. This allows for each class participant to bring home multiple prints of their original artwork.
Create art together! This is an opportunity to co-create art with someone special to you. This class is for all ages 10+; children 10-13 should have an accompanying adult. Cost includes admission for a pair of two people.
