First Friday at the Farnsworth—Sponsored by First National Bank

For the 10th consecutive year, First National Bank is sponsoring First Fridays at the Farnsworth. On First Fridays from June through October, the Farnsworth Art Museum will open its galleries free of charge to the public from 5 to 8 p.m. The 2019 First Fridays at the Farnsworth dates, part of the Arts in Rockland First Friday Art Walks, are June 7, July 5, Aug. 2, Sept. 6 and Oct. 4.
This final First Friday of the year will feature the public opening of our new fiber art exhibition Katharine Cobey: A Different Voice. Join us as we also enjoy the musical stylings of The Extension Chords! Penelope Olson, a traditional spinner from Appleton, will also demonstrate spinning in the library from 5 to 8 pm. Ms. Olson might also bring an extra wheel for people to treadle for fun, as well as carders and fiber for an interactive experience.
This final First Friday is also part of the Maine Craft Association’s weekend walk.
