Develop your approach and facility for sketching by observation. Led by an architect who has sketched for decades, your pursuit of basic and advanced skills will create synergy among eye, hand, and mind, sharpening attention and memory, celebrating our surroundings.
A practicing architect committed to education, professional responsibility, and social justice, George Terrien has served as the national presidents of NCARB and NAAB. From founding a firm that grew to 45 people in Portland, he has undertaking a variety of projects in six states before fulfilling a five-year commitment as the president of the Boston Architectural Center. Returning to private practice, he worked in California, Singapore, and Canada before coming home to Maine, where he lives in Rockland with his wife, the painter Connie Hayes.
