Keeping a Nature Journal with Sherrie York
June 30, 2021 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Three sessions: Wednesdays, June 30, July 7, and July 14
From 1 to 3 pm, Online via Zoom
For many of us in the past year, time spent in nature helped to ease both our sense of isolation and our cabin fever. Keeping an illustrated journal or nature sketchbook can help us continue and deepen that experience, and maybe even regain some of the focus that has seemed so elusive. We will meet together online to build basic drawing and observation skills, including contour, gesture, and value studies. In between sessions participants will explore their local landscapes and home-scapes with guided activities for filling journal pages. There will be time and opportunity to share work virtually, as well, moving beyond the static backgrounds of a Zoom screen.
Cost: $135; $117 members
