The Farnsworth is celebrating the 70th anniversary of its opening with a newly envisioned installation of its renowned collection of American art. Spread through multiple galleries, this installation will feature some of America’s best known artists including works by Winslow Homer, Frank Benson, Edward Hopper, George Bellows, John Marin, Neil Welliver, Robert Indiana, Alex Katz, Neil Welliver, Yvonne Jacquette, and members of the Wyeth family. This illustrated presentation will explore the range of the museum’s collection as seen in this reinstallation, celebrating Maine’s role in American art.

For advance registrations, your name will be held at will-call. Check-in begins in the main lobby a half-hour prior to the event start-time. Please note that 5 minutes prior to sold-out programs, any unclaimed seats will be released.
