
Aleksandra Labinska, violin; Kett Chuan Lee, cello and Inês Andrade, piano

Polish-born Aleksandra Labinska holds a Doctorate in violin performance from Boston University, has received numerous awards and performed in many prestigious concert series around the world; cellist Kett Chuan Lee was the youngest member of the National Symphony and Radio Television Orchestras in Malaysia before coming to the United States in 2003 and is the cellist of the Boston String Quartet; Portuguese pianist Inês Andrade has performed at Carnegie Hall, Centre Le Phénix (Switzerland), Centro Cultural de Belém (Portugal), Alexander Girardi Hall (Italy), and Auditório Jotamonte (Cape Verde). This Boston-based trio will perform:
Tchaikovsky Meditation from Souvenir d’un lieu cher, Op. 42
Bartok Romanian Dances for violin and piano, Sz. 56, BB 68
Debussy Sonata for Cello and Piano, L.144
António Fragoso Trio for Violin, Cello, and Piano in C-sharp Minor

Presented in partnership with Bay Chamber Concerts, these lunchtime concerts offer an opportunity to take a midday break in the relaxed atmosphere of the Farnsworth’s library in downtown Rockland. The hour-long performances begin at 12 pm. Ticket includes a freshly-prepared lunch provided by Atlantic Baking Company plus access to the museum following the performance.
