
“Musée des Beaux Arts”: An Ekphrastic Reading with Carl Little

In honor of National Poetry Month, poet and art writer Carl Little will combine art and poetry in an aural/visual presentation. The reading of poems by Blake, W.H. Auden, Wislaw Szymborska, Rosanna Warren, William Carpenter and others will be accompanied by the artworks that inspired them, with Brueghel, Renoir, Audubon, and Hopper among the featured artists.
In addition to numerous art books, Carl Little is the author of Ocean Drinker: New & Selected Poems (Deerbrook Editions). His poetry has been featured in Maine Sunday Telegram’s “Deep Water” series and “Poems from Here” on Maine Public Radio and appears in 3 Nations Anthology: Native, Canadian & New England Writers. He lives and writes on Mount Desert Island.
