Opening Celebration for Stories of the Land and Its People
May 19 @ 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
The public is invited to attend the opening celebration of the Farnsworth Art Museum’s Stories of the Land and Its People exhibition.
Stories of the Land and Its People is a yearlong arts-integration initiative in which the Farnsworth Art Museum facilitates in-depth partnerships with local schools, artists, and community members to connect the arts to curricular learning standards. This program explores student and teacher curiosity through art, inquiry, creativity, and interactive learning experiences. Stories provides professional development opportunities for teachers and artists, free online resources for all educators, private arts-integration consultations, and various multi-visit arts-integration programs led by the Arts in Education Program Manager.
The Stories 2019 Exhibition celebrates the work created by over 155 elementary and middle school students and teachers who took part in the 2018-2019 Stories program.
