March 2, 2018 @ 9:30 am - 12:30 pm

$132

Fridays, March 2 through 23, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

This class in an optional extension of the Painting in Watercolor, Part I class taking place in January/February 2018, and is also open to those who have taken a class with Erica Qualey in the past or already have a foundation in watercolor techniques.

Painting with watercolor can be such a fun experience with the right tools and understanding of its nature. During this class we will focus on painting from observation and learning to embrace its qualities to help express mood and the overall feeling you want to portray. We will practice designing strong compositions, choosing good reference photos, building and layering dynamic washes, and how to bring a painting to completion. Our time will be packed full of demonstrations showing multiple approaches and techniques that can help you loosen up and have fun with your art.

Participants should bring a selection of reference photos to use as inspiration during class.
