Rosa Rugosa Flower Making with Anneli Skaar

Come spend an enjoyable day learning the art of paper flower making, and make your very own Rosa Rugosa paper flower in the studio! This is a very satisfying flower to create; the branch includes realistic looking rose hips as well. This is an ideal project for anyone wanting to expand their creativity and learn a new skill. No previous experience is required!

Anneli Skaar (b. 1969) is a Norwegian-American artist and award-winning designer who lives in Camden, Maine. Primarily a painter, she also works in a variety of mediums from fine press techniques to pen and ink in order to create limited edition artist books. Her artist books The Island Whale and Nansen’s Pastport, published by Two Ponds Press, are in the Farnsworth’s collection. In addition, her work is found in Peabody Essex Museum, Bainbridge Island Museum of Art, and libraries such as the United Nations Library in Geneva and U.S. Library of Congress Special Collections.

Cost: $150; $135 for members + $20 materials fee
