
Stories of the Land and its People: Opening Event

The public is invited to attend the opening celebration of the Farnsworth Art Museum’s Stories of the Land and Its People exhibition, a year-long arts-integration program featuring the work of 250 local students. Throughout the academic year, Farnsworth educators, artists, and classroom teachers collaborate to provide arts learning experiences in public schools in Appleton, Camden-Rockport, Hope, Lincolnville, Rockland, and Waldoboro. The works of art created by the students are on view at the Farnsworth May 21, 2017 to June 18, 2017.
The community is invited to join these educators and artists in celebrating the students’ final presentation of their work. The opening ceremony begins at The Strand Theatre with a red carpet entrance at 12:40 p.m. and is followed by the exhibition opening at the Farnsworth Art Museum from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.
This program is free and open to the public.
