Learn about internationally renowned artist and filmmaker, Ai Weiwei. Born in China, educated in China and USA, now living in Germany, Ai’s art work and other projects are world renowned. In Circle of Animals, the year 1860 was critical to socio-political change in China and indeed around the world. How these events affected the people of China, the Chinese government, the art world and Ai’s life is the story behind the exhibition Circle of Animals/Zodiac Heads: Gold. The talk will introduce the subjects; the tour will invite participants’ thoughts and reactions.
