The Eye of the Illustrator with Anthony Bacon Venti

Drawing on the Brandywine tradition, Venti will demonstrate the fundamentals of illustration as practiced by Howard Pyle and his student N.C. Wyeth, including how to simplify light and shadow through a limited value range. Prior drawing experience required.
Anthony Bacon Venti studied at the Rocky Mountain School of Art in Denver where he was taught by a disciple of George Bridgman, famous for his figure-drawing books. Venti continued his studies at the American Academy of Art in Chicago. While living in Chicago, he was an art director, producing storyboards for television.
