The Puppet Show: Youth Summer Art Camp!

Event Series Event Series (See All)

July 12 @ 9:00 am 3:00 pm

Do you have a love of theater and art? Have you ever wanted to put on your very own puppet show? The Farnsworth summer camp experience offers artists ages 8 and up an opportunity to work with puppeteer Eric Weiss to create your own puppet show!

Throughout the week, students will collaborate to create a complete show from beginning to end. Students will create three different types of puppets while learning the basics of character design through the use of elements such as color, material choice, and puppet movements. They will write their own story and turn it into a complete puppet show- including puppets and a cardboard theater. On the final day they will perform their show for their parents and friends. Have fun in this summer camp letting your inspiration and creativity run wild!
