Watercolor Batik with Erica Qualey
May 20, 2022 @ 9:30 am – 3:00 pm

Two-day workshop, Thursday, May 19 and Friday, May 20 from 9:30 am to 3 pm.
In-person in the first-floor studio of the Gamble Education Center of the Farnsworth campus.
Join Erica Qualey for this exciting class exploring the traditional techniques of batik but applying them with a new twist… with watercolor on a beautiful translucent rice paper. The results are fantastic and lovely with rich bold colors and soft textures created by the natural qualities of rice paper. During this class, we will complete a painting from start to finish so participants will have the opportunity to learn the full process. Some painting experience is helpful but not required. Bring a bag lunch, or enjoy local eateries downtown. Materials list supplied in the registration.
