Winter Windows Artist Talk with Annie Bailey
December 8, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Join Maine artist Annie Bailey, winner of this year’s newly inaugurated Winter Windows Project, as she shares her recently unveiled panorama featured in the Farnsworth’s Main Street windows. Bailey will explore the history of moving panoramas and crankies, as well as the story of her artwork’s subject, Abbie Burgess, the young lighthouse keeper known for her bravery in tending the Matinicus Rock Light in Maine during a raging winter storm in 1856. This illustrated talk will include behind the scenes stories with accompanying photos of her work in progress.
