This year the Farnsworth Art Museum’s 2020 Maine in America Award honors Women of Vision: thirteen visionary women who have made significant contributions to the arts in Maine and beyond.

Traditionally, we celebrate the Maine in American Awards with a summer gala, which was scheduled for July 17, 2020. Currently, we are unable to proceed as usual.

We look forward to inviting you to celebrate our Women of Vision in the months to come and in new ways.  A film, special showings of works by the artists in our galleries, curatorial talks, and small dinners are all being considered.

The power of art inspires, engages, and transforms the spirit of community. It is in this spirit that we ask you to support us and to be as generous as possible.

Your philanthropy drives exhibitions, art education, and community programs, touching the lives of more than 17,700 schoolchildren and teachers throughout Maine.

Thank you to our very special community of supporters!
