Description
Porter knew well the feel, smell, and sound of the ocean wind upon the clefts and shells of sandy rock faces, as well as the bending grasses and flowers that grew over them. He was able to distill this in paint – into an arrangement of color, form and light on what might be Driftwood Beach, on his summer island home.
